Listen To Their Story (You Won't Reget It)

The person who is your leader, the person that you respond or report to - do you know their story? Knowing their story, their history, and the history of their family/business is VITAL. If people don't know the story, they don't have the opportunity to respect it the same as they normally would.

Honor them, yield to them, and ask them, "What's your story?" Doing so opens doors of communication and it creates space for mutual trust and respect. You'll, more than likely, going to hear the good, bad, and the ugly - and you'll be better for it. And when you ask about their story - it also communicates your care for that person.

These leaders, these trailblazers - they are people who GET SHIT DONE. Their story is worth listening to. Take time and ask your leader what their story is. I promise you won't regret it.
