Trust vs. Performance


How do we measure trust? How do we measure performance?


There are a lot of ways to look at this, but primarily through a business or team lens. We can measure performance very easily based on outcomes, reviews, and feedback. But we have a harder time measuring trust. These two things go hand-in-hand and typically, when there's high trust, there is high performance.


As leaders and as teams of people, we need to focus on building trust—if not more than performance, at least equally, because we have to build trust with our teams and with our customers so that performance will reach the levels that we want.
