We Lied To You (Death By Meeting)

Have you ever been part of a team (or maybe you're on one now) that meets just for the sake of meeting? There is no real agenda or process - just a meeting, and nothing gets accomplished. Or worse yet, being a part of a meeting where one person dominates the entire conversation, and when ideas are thrown out, they are squashed on the spot?
That environment isn't helpful for anyone, nor is it healthy for the team or the organization. Our people need meaningful times together to collaborate, to listen to ideas, to be heard, to be valued, and to be productive. Let me put it this way: The best kind of meetings are where the leader does the least amount of talking.
