Connecting Before Asking
The reality is that as we lead our teams, families, and organizations, we must connect to the heart before we ask for the hand. In other words, we have to serve those around us before we expect them to serve us. Emotional equity must be established. We have to make deposits into the emotional “bank accounts” of the people around us. And one of the best ways to do that is through servant leadership. Serve your people. Connect with them. Aim High & Aim Low
To be fair, this seems like it wouldn't make sense. It seems like I'm always preaching and coaching on "aiming high", that it's "better to aim high and miss than it is to aim low and hit". Killing Procrastination
We’re all guilty of procrastinating—something, somehow, somewhere. We all do it, and we do it for a couple of different reasons. We fear the work. We fear the pain. We fear the failure that might come with it. Often, we get complacent. We get lazy. We fear failure. Or we overcomplicate what actually needs to be done to the point that we paralyze ourselves and never take the first step. In order to kill procrastination, START SOMEWHERE. Something is always better than nothing.
